New Llama Owner Workshop.
Tenth Annual
New LLama Owner Workshop
Hosted by Donna Moore and LLama Friends
Held at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds
in Lancaster, Ohio
In the warm and comfortable
climate controlled AAA Building
Date is March 28, 2009
Registration is 9:30 AM - l0:00

Workshop is 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM
LLamas provided on site for lots of "hands on" demonstrations (and
lloving!)
Lunch is be purchased on site also at a minimal cost.
Subjects covered that day will be WHATEVER THE ATTENDEES WANT and
they include:
How to show your llama properly (a
mini show situation will be take place)
What are the positive and negative
conformation traits a judge and you are looking for in a llama
What types of things present
"stress" on your llama
What are the nutritional needs of your llamas
and crias
How to easily use the OSU Vet Hospital in
an emergency
The various ways to transport and
how to safely load (these are on site and we practice)
What type of facility does a llama need
How does an owner breed his female
(if the llamas get loose, we do this!)
How does an owner care for a
newborn
The vet needs of your llama
How to shear a llama with hand
shears (we hand shear a llama on site)
How to shear a llama with
electric shears
How to groom your llama for
the first time after winter is over (oh no!)
How to groom your llama that is
shorn for a show
What is "proper" behavior from
a llama (tell us your problems)
What is proper tack and gear
Does shearing affect showing
(absolutely!)
How to cut toenails (several attendees
do it on site) (the llamas, that is!)
........... and anything else they want to talk about or do with
the llamas!

We have many hotels very close by if you are coming from a distance.And a lot
of nice restaurants also!
The registration fee is $25.00 per person for l3 years and over.
$l5.00 per person l2 years and under.
If you do not like sitting on bleacher seats on day, bring a really
comfortable lawn chair. And if you spin, bring your wheel and do
it while you listen.
We will have spinners spinning on site and some wool and items for sale if
you want to buy or get some help or ideas.
Deadline is March 23, 2009. If you get too close, call me at the
above number and we will get you in!
Can't tell you anything more other than WE HAVE A BALL WITH EACH
OTHER AND THE LLAMAS !! .... We make new and close friends
